What is every one's opinion about the Jamie Oliver book...I did not like the layout of the 30 minute one.

I agree with some of the comments, the layout is all very wellif you ae going to make the whole meal, but if you just want to do one of the dishes you have to unscramble the instructions.  Jamie Olivers new cooker thingy has its own web site with some nice recipes maybe convertible??

Yes I don't really like the layout of both books either but I type up all the recipes I want to make anyway, so I set them out how I want them to read, makes it easier for me.  :)

I bought this book today. I still haven't reviewed my Christmas books but that is a work in progress.
This book What's for Dinner by Michele Curtis looks excellent. It seems to cover everything. It's a soft cover book, has 296 pages and photos for each recipe.
It has sections on soups, pasta, rice, stir fries, on the grill, on the stove, in the oven, one pots, salads and desserts. The blurb says it has over 220 recipes with more than 50 variations. There is also an extra section for sides, sauces and dressings.
I haven't made anything from it yet, but will do so in the next menu plan. (Wednesday).
For $10 at the ABC shop I think I have a bargain.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Great bargain, tempted to ring abc & get them to hold one for me.  On line it is $40.

Gee that's a big difference.

I need to correct my statement re photos for all recipes. Most recipes have photos, not all. It changed toward the end.

Bought this book today x 2. One for me and one for DF. DF doesn't like to cook and her DH is fussy as. She looked through it and thought she would like to give some recipes a go. Will wait and see if she gets around to using it.
