I was thinking they were quite similar GF... the definition I found of "resolution" was "a firm decision to do or not to do something." It sounds a lot the same as a goal to me, but in different words ;D

I agree Goldfish, I always set myself goals for the year ahead.

My goal this year is to be healthier by relaxing more and taking more time out for meditation :)

Keep on the move, and we have a goal to be sorted in a settled place by Christmas next year, if that is possible.
It's not so much in our control but what we are hoping for.

I make the same one every year... to not make a NY Resolution!
And you know what? I do it, I keep it and I'm happy within myself all year that I didn't break it!  ;D

No resolutions here. I did mine mid-year. Was sick of being overweight and not doing anything for me - so I decided to hire a personal trainer. I go twice a week, have lost 9kgs but more importantly went from a size 18 down to (I think) a 12. I refuse to buy any new clothes as we are going to Hawaii for NYE so will shop up big over there.

Wow that's fantastic  and such a good idea to do mid year too, I need to loose a few kilo's but more importantly get fitter
