Suggestions to use Fresh Sour Cherries please!
« on: December 28, 2012, 11:39:39 pm »
I have just been given about 400 gm fresh sour cherries (unpitted atm)  (and boy! are they sour!! ;D ;D)

Does anyone have an idea the best way to use them - preferably so they'd keep for a couple of months maybe?  But other ideas more than welcome!!

Thanks!

The German Cherry Crumble Cheesecake in the EDC is nice - some reviews here.  Just stew your fresh cherries with some sugar and use them instead of those in a jar.

Some great ideas on Kim's link too.

Oops they say its dry just reading through it... Maybe find a couple of recipes and do a combination of what works.. :(

Seems to depend on who cooks it as others say its moist😄😄
