Barbecued Honey Chicken
« on: January 01, 2013, 06:18:10 am »
Barbecued Honey Chicken
ingredients
1 packet low salt French onion soup
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons oil
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon sherry
Chicken, breast, drumsticks or whatever you normally use.
Preparation
1. Combine soup mix, honey, lemon juice, garlic and sherry and pour over the chicken.
2. Marinate for 2 hours or overnight.
3. Grill or barbecue the chicken basting with marinade as you go.
You can pour the marinade over if you wish, and if it won't spread everywhere.

I was doing some cleaning and found this recipe I had made from www.Taste.com.au
It is a quick easy one for hot nights.

This can be cooked easily in the air fryer.

Guess we could use our FOSM for this one Cookie.  I've just taken a couple of packets of Lovely Legs out of the freezer and will cook these in the weber tomorrow.  I really need to get my stocks down so this is a start.

Amy I have done this in a skillet or frying pan. Cook up the chicken then add the marinade at the end, boil it up and use it as a sauce over the chicken

These are so delicious. I used the FOSM recipe highlighted in my previous post and used 1kg Lovely Legs, lined a baking dish with baking paper and tipped the marinade & chicken in. Preheated weber kettle to 210oC on high then turned it down to low where is cooked on around 200oC for an hour. Turned 3/4 of the way through and they were perfect.  Thanks Cookie for such a great recipe for chicken lovers.

Yum cookie1.
This one passed the judges panel with all 4 of us saying 'do it again'.
Miss 16 even said it would be nice cut smaller as an appetiser. I nearly fell off my chair - she was actually thinking about food! Amazing!
I'm going to get some more chicken, marinate it, vacuum seal it and freeze it. Be good to have on hand. Thank you  :)

Cookie, I've decided to start a Grandma's favourite recipes cookbook for GD and this is going to be the first entry in it.  Thanks for the motivation to do something I've been thinking of doing for ages.  :-* :-*
