Really? Wow - we have lemons growing out back, but our chidlren aren't keen on a strong lemony- taste. Might give them a whirl, though....

Thanks Trudy,
I just gave these a whirl, and they are scrumptious! I used 3/4 cup sugar instead of 1 cup and added 100g of some small chopped pieces of Lindt Intense Orange chocolate and they are divine! I will be sharing this one for sure!

These sound tasty, especially with the Lindt Orange Intense. I find that that particular flavour chocolate really adds something to things you use it in. Thanks for the suggestion.

When I convert a recipe I do it in grams as I think that it is a universal TM measurement.
The only thing our overseas friends have to think about is the spoon measures that are different between Aus and Eur.

Made these last night and I loved them. I didn't put in the sultanas, nuts or choc chips and they still worked.
Only problem I found was that 1 1/2 cups of flour by my measurement didn't weight anything near 330gm so I split the difference - still worked fine.

In one of my old cookbooks there is a conversion table. It states that 1 cup of flour = 125g.

I give up on cup measurements
I have two sets of measuring cups......1 cup also stated 240ml, yet the other set I have said 160ml, both are 1 cup measures.
I have ended up purchasing a U.S. set of measuring cups and spoons (there is a difference), as a lot of my recipes books are American.
Now I'm writing my own conversion list for equivalents in grams.

Jude Blereau's latest book says you should weigh the flour for delicate cakes, as it varies with brand and season. She says white spelt is 130g for 1 cup, plus or minus 10g. That fits in with experience but depends how I pack it so I am giving up on cups too.
I think I used 330 grams when I made these last week and they were a hit with mothers group, although a mum found an orange pip apparently so lucky that didn't go to one of the very young ones.
