I've got mine the same way as you Judy, but I don't think it would make much difference either, the lid seems to close ok either way.

Mine has just arrived, woo hoo! Haven't opened it yet though as have to go pick up DD's school uniform! Yay!!  :D :D

Just got mine too. DH never opens parcels addressed to me but I came home to find this one unpacked -curiosity got the better of him. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

Had a good look at it - with the deep dish in the machine the lid doesn't  close properly - has anyone else noted this?   Planning to try the potato frittata from the My Way of Cooking book tomorrow so I'll review this later.

Mine doesn't close properly either Bonsai but I presumed it was meant to be like that.

We had pizzas for dinner last night :) yummo! It is so fast. We used to use the bbq for pizza making and DH did the cooking. This seems to cook so fast it is almost hard to keep up with the making love it!

Can I ask if anyone else's deep black dish has thick clear silicon/plastic sleeves on the black rubber handles? Are they for heat resistance or travelling purposes  (to stop scratches)?  ??? Did you leave them on or cut them off?  :)

Yes, mine has the silicon sleeves.  I'd say it is for safer handling when you remove the deep dish Katie. Don't take them off.
