We've made this twice now and both times where big successes with people eating them. Indeed the second one, eaten on New Years Eve at a party at my wife's church, was a much bigger success as people kept coming over to compliment it. I guess maybe Germans aren't used to eating it?
The pastry recipe produced enough to make two pies. Regarding Lime vs Lemon, honestly we couldn't really tell any difference. I think I took a photo, must check and also go now (footie practice just finished)
