Ideas for an Aussie themed bake sale.

Hi all :D

I have been asked to do some baking for a charity bake sale on the weekend before Australia day. They've asked for a few Aussie themed goodies, but all I've come up with are lamingtons, ANZAC biscuits, and cheese and vegemite scrolls.

Any other ideas please?

GF... I must confess that I have never made a pavlova in my life :o :-))

Thanks for the suggestions ladies :) I will check out the lamington cupcakes and look for a nice pikelet recipe :)

Time to give it a shot Amy!!!  Lol. Just do mini ones.....

Good luck with the bake sale.... I'm sure whatever you make will be a great hit!!

Do you have cookie cutters in the shape of kangaroos ... Australia?

Pumpkin scones, vanilla slice ( if you can keep it cold ) or maybe coconut ice.

Anything shaped or decorated Aussie would do (Aussie shaped, kangaroo, wombat, koala, platypus, snake(!!), etc)  ;)

Cake pops using Tim Tams.

DD made some Donna Hay lamington muffins on the weekend and they had jam in the centre. Very nice indeed. The recipe was in last Sunday's ;magazine.

I am going to make lamingtons for BBQ on weekend. Think I will try the recipe community one referred to in another thread on this forum.
