First supper party ?
«
on:
January 24, 2013, 04:54:00 pm »
I have had my Tm for two whole weeks now and have some people coming to dinner on Saturday night that I really want to impress. (One of them is a potential TM buyer and very dear to me)
This will be the first time I have cooked for anyone, other than my husband, using my new TM.
I am going to make soup with bread rolls, then a quiche with salad and then a pudding. All done in the TM, I hope. My question is: can anyone recommend a reliable but delicious pudding that I could make earlier in the day or the day before?
I have gathered loads of recipes from this lovely forum but just cannot choose between them, having never made most of them before. I don't mind if it's a hot or cold dessert. I know one of you clever owners will come up with a failsafe for me. Thanks so much.

Good ideas there CC. I have now discovered the nutella tart. Looks great.
Another idea would be the mocchacino brownie added recently. Make the brownie the day before, make the sauce just before serving.

Sure is courton and you can serve it with raspberry coulis or chocolate/ caramel sauce. I love it with a peppermint crisp blitzed in thermomix and sprinkled on top.

A great dessert to have in the freezer at any time for unexpected or planned guests is farfallina's
Chocolate Souffle
which CC has already mentioned - you make it to the baking stage and freeze it. It goes straight from the freezer into the oven for 15 minutes and then you have little chocolate puddings with a gooey chocolate centre.
Chookie's
Queen of Puddings
is another favourite here - so easy too.
Trudy's
Peaches & Cream Dessert
is also very delicious and easy - as you can tell, I like easy dessert recipes

Oh, wow, thankyou all so much.
What a kind and thoughtful bunch you are.
You all make owning a TM even better than it already is.
I shall pick one (or even two) of the puds you have recommended and report back.
I have just started my prep. by making Parsnip & Apple Soup. It tastes absolutely gorgeous and just right for this freezing weather.
Thanks again everyone.

Past94x, I always offer 2 sweets. It provides a real luxury feel to the finish of the meal. Thanks for asking this question as we are having special visitors this week and I am having problems with too many good make ahead choices.
