Hi Yolly & welcome! I too am from Perth. I went the opposite and wanted the TMX for main meals especially to help with fast healthy cooking. I had a varoma demo (2 in 1 cooking) the first time my consultant came to me as I was specifically interested in it. She cooked rice and chicken cashew vegetables together. It didn't take very long, about 40 min and the end result was very delicious. We all had a very good meal out of it!
I now use my varoma to steam fish fillet and veg at the same time. Still getting the hang of it with the veg but the fish has been turning out good. My next mission is to steam a whole barramundi in the varoma
Enjoy your journey...

Welcome to the forum Yolly. I have had my TMX for a year now but still count myself as a 'beginner'. This forum has been of immense help to me. I've no doubt you will find it just as useful.

Place your cut up vegetabes inthe varoma dish, and your fish in the varoma tray. I would probably cook the vegetables for 5-10 minutes before inserting the tray with the fish
Remember to put the harder vegetables like carrots on the bottom, and softer vegetables like zucchini on top. If you're steaming using boiling water, I would cook for about 15 minutes in total and then check the fish and vegetables. If you're steaming using cold water, probably 25.
Hope this helps

I place the veg in the bottom part of the varoma dish, and fish fillet (cut into bite size pieces) on the varoma tray then place the translucent cover on top. I also placed damp baking paper on the tray to prevent the fish juices from dripping onto the veg underneath. But, made sure there were sufficient gaps on the side to allow the steam through. Hope that helps...
