mince squares for school lunch boxes
« on: February 10, 2013, 08:37:03 am »

I made these today. Great for lunchboxes.
Your normal sausage roll mix, for me that is sausage mince, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs and grated cheese.

Then I cut sheets of puff pastry in 8 rectangles and put a spoonful of mince on each then folded to a square and closed with a fork on three sides, pricked the top with the fork and painted with a beaten egg. Cooked at 200 for 30 minutes.

All i could think of was if I had my TM I wouldn't have to put my hands in the mixture.  >:(

Cowley I think you might be the first person to have posted a recipe before  getting their Thermomix - I can therefore see you posting plenty once you receive it  ;D  They look very enticing, I just love pastry.

I am sorry. I am just so excited to get it. I have a new oven and waiting on the Tm and I am raring to go. As I said in the intro, I don't usually bake but I cant wait to hook in.

Also theres plenty of recipes to try here so don't panic, i won't be flooding the forum lol  :D

Cowley, congratulations on your first recipe posting. What a clever idea to make little parcels. They look great.

Cowley what a good idea. Congratulations on your first recipe. How long before your machine arrives?

Great lunchbox idea. My kids aren't big sandwich eaters so I am going to include this in the list of ideas  8)

The excitements starting to wane. Especially when I am in the middle of my consultant training and I have nothing to practice on. I had a strategy to get bookings from people I don't know that well by posting lots of pictures on fb of what I've made and hoping people will comment and feel enticed for more information.

To be fair my lovely group leader did offer to lend me hers so I could practice. But I just couldn't borrow something that expensive.

My kids want new stuff in the lunch boxes.
My Thermomix,  Kitchen Aid, Pizza oven, Nu Wave 5 in 1, Spatulas, all brings love, laughter, happiness, and great food  to my kitchen.
