Not sure why they would announce something like this then say it could be 3 years before it happened  ???

Rather like Costco's announcement last year that they are coming to SA too.

They did the same here. I think they announce that they are coming and then start looking for a suitable site, followed by permits, building, etc.

it's so annoying when they do that....your hopes are raised, then let down with the wait period  :-))

we are spoilt here....5 Aldi's in the Geelong area, and another is currently under construction, not far from 2 others.

Big excitement here too as they have announced that they are coming to WA as well. It may be 2 years but usually we're told no we won't come. So yippee and hurrah. I hope the first one is near me.

Woohoo! Hope there's going to be a store in Albany...
Coles and Woolies, watch out!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

They are only just starting to look for land and 'heard' they are looking at existing IGA stores
2-3 years is what we were told

They have lots on view but only on paper at the moment as far as I know. Looking all over. Discussions not underway yet.
