Email Hacking

My yahoo email account was hacked for the second time on Friday. I  have set up a new email account with another email service and now have to notify all my contacts which I will do on monday as we have a very busy weekend. . Went into my yahoo this morning to check new mail only to discover that it has now been hacked again!!!!  On top of all of this my apple account was also hacked while DH and I were away. Took almost 3 hours on the phone to apple to sort it out when we arrived home. All very time consuming and frustrating.  I have once again changed all of my passwords and will delete my yahoo account once I have saved important documents. hopefully my forum account doesn't get hacked again.

You seem to be dogged with bad luck MF.  What exactly happens when you are hacked?

You can't access your account Judy as the hacker changes the password. I have no idea how they do it but  that's 3 times now with yahoo. The first time it happened they also deleted my forum account. Gert advised me to ditch yahoo and I should have taken her advice. It's jus annoying as I have lots of business stuff on yahoo  and  loads of contacts.  I had my yahoo account for at least 10 years with no problems at all until 3 or 4 months ago  

Thanks kt2 it's my  mums 80th today. Big family picnic for her tomorrow in Kings Park so lots of cooking here this morning. My family and my 2 brothers families 34 of us in total. Hopefully it won't be too hot

plus my own domain email account.

I should buy another domain too.

Thanks Robyn I really must do something to prevent this happening again as its so much work now having to search through my yahoo before  I delete it . Too much of a coincidence that yahoo has been hacked 3 times, forum deleted and apple hacked.

Thanks JD I am sure she will enjoy it. 
Family will be even bigger once my 2 brothers children start producing. So far none are married and no babies yet.
It's fantastic when we all get together and Kings Park is lovely.

Yes it is, I did a bus tour through the park 9 years ago - it has to be the biggest park I have ever seen

Obbie, how do you back up your bigpond account into your gmail account? I have both.

Thanks Marie.  . I have been  cooking all morning for the picnic tomorrow. Making CP's mums pineapple cheesecake slice at the moment then taking mum out for a glass of bubbly.

This email/apple/forum hacking is driving me nuts MJ  and such a waste of my time but I don't know how to prevent it happening again

It does sound like you have tracking virus or qomething on your computer.. Have you had someone Check it out?? Changing passwords sometimes doesnt make any diff..Surely you have someone in your circle who could Check it out for you??
