They might want to join the forum once they've met us all Chookie.  Nice offer - very thoughtful of them.

Wonder I haven’t booked my accommodation yet , which area would be easier for you
Anyone know how far the airport s are from each other and how much a taxi would cost from Tullamarine to Avalon
is there a bus between airports?
Karen you are staying at a hotel near Avalon airport is that right ?

Uni, most people will probably be flying in to Tullamarine which is our main airport and is also a little closer to the city and the road/s to Chookies.  There is a move to utilise Avalon more and there are buses to Avalon to and from the city but I don't know if there are any from Avalon to Tullamarine.  A taxi from Tullamarine to Melbourne's CBD is approx. $55.00 and, taking a guess at distances involved, I think it would possibly be that or perhaps more to Avalon.  If you google Avalon airport you may find more information there.

Hope that helps.

Chookie, you have very kind and thoughtful friends.

That's not so bad, Uni, I think there is someone from Geelong heading up to Chookies, perhaps they will read this post and be able to pick you up as Avalon is on the way from Geelong.

Uni, we will pick you up - no problems.

It's Kimmy that is coming from Geelong.

Chookie is posting us 2 maps of different routes to take. DH is a truckie and has excellent sense of direction, unlike me.

Uni,  I think this is wise as Kimmyh is coming over land and not through Melbourne.
