I was looking in Woolies the other day and spotted some Pizza rolls, they looked so yummy and I knew my lot would love them, but at $2.50 each there was no way I would buy them. And anyway why would I buy them when I can make them.
So here's the recipe I used to make some yummy mouth watering pizza rolls.
Ingredients
250g Luke warm water
2 tsp dry yeast
1 tsp sugar
35g olive oil
420g bakers flour (bread flour)
Pinch of salt
Tomato paste (I use half tomato paste and half tomato relish)
Shredded mozzarella cheese (I just used tasty cheese)
Pizza toppings of choice (pepperoni, ham, pineapple, mushrooms, capsicum, sun dried tomatoes, etc etc)
Directions
Add sugar, water and yeast to TM bowl and whizz for 10 sec speed 4. Let sit for 5-10 minutes to froth.
Now add oil and give another quick whizz for couple seconds to mix.
Add flour and salt, mix for 5 seconds speed 5, put dial on closed lid position and knead dough for 2 minutes.
Leave dough to double in size before kneading for a further 1.5 minutes.
Tip dough onto floured board and knead some more, divide dough into 8 pieces and shape into balls and place onto baking trays. Flatten each ball of dough slightly.
Leave rolls to rise again until doubled.
Flatten each roll a little more, spread with tomato paste and add pizza toppings, then top with grated cheese.
Preheat oven to 220 degrees, cook rolls for 15 minutes or until cheese is browning.
Enjoy.
