Hello!
« on: March 04, 2013, 05:06:27 am »
Hello everyone!

My TM was delivered to my consultant today but I won't get it until Wednesday afternoon.

I went to a demo in January (taking my mum with me) and then hosted one last Thursday (mum invited herself to that one and this time she ordered one as well!).  My friends (who were at my demo) already want me to make custard for them!

I look forward to picking up lots of hints and tips from this forum and immersing myself in all things TM!   ;D

Welcome to the forum allrounder. How exciting ,you and your Mum will be able to compare recipes. Wait until your friends see some of the other things you can make in your thermomix, they will be queuing up.
Only 2 more sleeps until you receive your machine. Perhaps you can use that time to select some recipes and buy any new ingredients you will need.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Hi allrounder, welcome to the forum.  How lovely that you and Mum will both own a TMX, it's all you will ever talk about when you see or ring her and you will bore everyone with your constant TMX talk.  Roll on Wednesday - then the fun begins.

Welcome to the forum.  Only two sleeps to go till your TMX arrives, plenty of time to start a list of things to make and shopping for supplies.

Don't forget if you make them custard once, they will ask for more !
I do the best I can

Thanks all!

I made the standard vegetable stock concentrate with my consultant (mum & dad came along to watch).  Later on, I had a play making the base for a wagon wheel slice (I based the method on the shortbread recipe in the EDC) and then I melted the chocolate & butter for the topping (I will need to experiment with that as it needs to be a bit runnier if that makes sense!)

I really want to make some hot cross buns (my partner bought me the silicon mat) and I will no doubt be making that custard that my friends want!
