EDC Cookbook, where to buy?
« on: March 12, 2013, 09:32:42 am »
So I was looking on eBay to perhaps pick up some 2nd hand thermomix cookbooks and I see the EDC sooo expensive, there is one with bidding currently up to $81!!! Why is it so expensive? Can't you buy it direct from thermomix or can you only get it with a demo?

Hi Janem, are you in Australia, you get the EDC with your delivery of the Thermomix.

Janem, you do have an EDC don't you?  If you bought your TMX in Australia you should have one given to you.  The reason I think they cannot be bought from HO is that there are other thermal machines on the market these days with perhaps not such an informative recipe book to go with it and perhaps these people are wanting our book.  It is now not easy to buy a copy of the EDC therefore those who are able to get their hands on a spare are making a killing on eBay.  I haven't officially been told this - this is just my opinion of the matter.

Oh yes, I do have an EDC, I got it with my thermomix as well as a My way of cooking. I wasn't looking for those, I was looking for something different but when I saw the price of the EDC I simply wondered why? I actually thought you could buy it from thermomix for around that $39 mark like the other books but apparently not? People are crazy on eBay!  Was just curious as I was a bit shocked and couldn't figure out why it cost so much!

you can't buy a EDC book, only get it with your thermomix.
The rest you can buy from Ho or your consultant :)

I bought another EDC from my consultant not so long ago cos my original was falling to pieces. Haven't had a chance yet to transfer my notes over. With the amount of recipes available online you wouldn't think that people would pay that much especially if they have bought a cheaper thermal machine.
