Chocolate and Pistachio Cake. Tenina's e book. Desserts
« on: April 14, 2013, 07:30:34 am »
I made this following the instructions exactly. I used Tonka beans as I had some. It is so easy to make, it is surprising.
When we cut it the chocolate mix and the pistachio mix had gone sort of like a marble cake. The ganache is easy too and is the perfect amount.
I found the taste of the almond oil quite predominant, but this may well have been my fault as I may have used the wrong sort of almond oil. Mine was labelled Almond oil and the recipe asked for sweet almond oil.

I will definitely make this again.

I made this for DD's birthday. OMG! It is so delicious! I was nibbling even before putting it in the oven. WOW Tenina...what a winner!

I couldn't get over how easy it was to make.
