The Almost Everything Free SliceIngredients3 large ripe bananas
3 cups rolled oats
1/4 cup dates
1/4 cup dried apricots
1/4 cup slivered almonds (leave out if you need to be nut free)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
11/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
PreparationHeat oven to 180 degrees. Prepare a 16cm x 25.5cm slice pan.
Place dates and dried apricots into the bowl and turbo until they are chopped up fairly small. Set aside.
Place bananas into bowl and mix on about speed 3 until the bananas are all smooth. Set aside with the fruit.
Place oats, fruit, bananas, almonds, cinnamon and vanilla into a bowl and mix by hand. You could try it in the tmx bowl but would probably need the spatula.
When mixed press into prepared tin firmly and bake for approx 30 minutes.
the first time I tasted this I didn't like it but went back for more. It was nice to have something that was sort of healthy.
