The very best to you and Don.

Thanks for posting this Mich. we are particularly thinking of you both and hope all is straightforward on Monday.
My DH had his prostate checked after the totally unexpected kidney tumour was discovered.
id like to mention in this topical thread that kidney cancer is often silent, and was only discovered by an ultra sound scan.
Nothing showed in the bloods at all, it was an 8 cm tumour. It turned out to be a clear cell carcinoma.
DH had had periodic episodes of fatigue and sweats on and off for a while and had a lot of tests 2 yrs ago. He was told he was fine, he clearly was not, we should have pushed harder. He just accepted that he'd have to live with it. Anyone else with these symptoms or unexplained troubles should ask for an ultra sound scan, even if the bloods are clear.
It was acid reflux and nausea this time that sent him to the Dr. It may or may not have been connected, but the cancer was found and has been dealt with. He is still recovering post op, but feels much better.
We send our very best wishes to you both. Xxx
