Greetings from Tassie!

My Thermie will be arriving a week from today! I hesitate to say this but I won mine! I am so excited to have one and look forward to learning lots and lots and using it to it's fullest potential!

I live way down on the Tasman Peninsula. We endeavor to make as much as we can from scratch to avoid all the nasty additives in food these days. I am dreading making butter this week but have to because we are out! I am dreading it because I know how much easier it's going to be with Thermie!.

Hello and welcome to the forum mariahswind and congratulations on your win.  It doesn't matter how we end up with one, we are one big happy family here and would begrudge no-one winning such a lovely prize. The batch of butter you have to make will be your last before your kitchen helper comes along then you will find it a lot easier.  Have fun with it and do let us know what you are making. :)

Welcome and how exciting to win such an awesome prize! So many things on here to look at and wonderful people to share your thoughts with. I am a newbie too but seem to look on here everyday for ideas. Have fun cooking with your new partner in the kitchen.

Welcome MW.  Use the Forum and you will be able to make most things without additives.  Butter is a dream to make but read the comments on the Forum.
