Thanks Julie, the trouble is there are so many recipes at our fingertips these days, it's nice to finally get around to some that have been on my hit list for some time though. Can't wait to see your photo

I've never made this one. I've always used a Womens Weekly stroganoff which uses eye fillet - we have it for special occasions and it's a family favourite so I think if I make this I won't call it stroganoff otherwise teh family will be expecting our standard one.

Good thinking Wonder, that is a great recipe from WW - have done that for dinner parties way back when
It will be interesting to see the family's reaction to Chelsea's version and what you end up calling it.

It is exciting that you are enjoying the thermomix Peter. We all agree, it is a wonderful machine. I no longer think, 'oh I won't make that it will take ages. ' the thermomix does all the work.

I'm making this tonight and will be using chicken fillets (it's all I have in the freezer and I don't have a car today) and will also need to add some powered porcini as I only have button mushrooms. Anyone have suggestions on how long to cook the chicken?

Chagne of plans as there are no chicken fillets in the freezer but I have pork fillet so will use that. Any ideas of cooking time for pork fillet?

I would have thought cooking the pork fillet for a short time,Wonder possibly 10-12 minutes.
It can dry out very quickly if cooked too long.

Hello Kelly, welcome to the forum. The recipe in this thread says you can use red or white wine so why not try this recipe in your Thermomix, it has very good reviews.

Silly question....but why no button mushrooms? Do they not have enough flavour?

I would think that was the reason Jenni, they are rather bland compared to Swiss Browns.
