Mad Men themed dinner party
« on: July 18, 2013, 10:03:52 am »
Hi I am going to a Mad Men themed dinner party on the weekend and have only just got my thermie today!

Do you have any suggestions on a main I can cook to take with me?

Thanks!

That was my life. Scalloped potatoes and ham.

Oh yes beef Wellington was a party piece. Seems to roll around ever 20 years or so.

How about the pineapple  centrepiece with cheese and gherkins stuck on toothpicks . Ritz crackers  a must. Spam and pineapple kabobs.

Meat loaf was very popular.

Just remember this was after the war and most people did not have a lot of money in the early 50’s and the music was all about Elvis.
