Here we are in Burra and it is raining. It is the first rain we have had the entire trip. Our companions are tiring which is sad as we would like to be away for a while yet, but it doesn't matter. They are lovely to travel with and we have fun. The erecting the tent everyday is tiring and the novelty wears, off after a couple of days.
Today we came from Mildura to Burra. We spent a short time in Renmark, had lunch by the river in Waikerie and spent time in Morgan. I love it there. We then crossed the Murray on the fantastic car ferry. I love them.
Judy we are doing the Burra passport thing tomorrow. I have done it before and it is so informative. Burra has so much history attached to it with its copper mining.

I took this in Mildura last night as the sun was setting.

Driving onto the car ferry.

What is left of one of the mines at Burra. The water is about 50 metres deep the sign said.

Gorgeous sunset photo Cookie. Sorry about the rain but this winter is our wettest since 2005.

I guess that is a good thing Judy. It was wet in Burra last night and this morning. But it has cleared here in Port Augusta and will probably be a cool night.
I have done some much needed washing. Ready for the run home.

Some of the historical buildings from Burra. There are so many it is hard to decide which ones to share.

Thank you all for the kind words. We are in Eucla tonight. Back in WA if only by 12 km or so.
It has been overcast and very windy. The ocean of the bight didnt look as blue today.

A few windmills at Penong.

I love this sign. There are quite a few but this one is at the Nullabor roadhouse.

Coming up to the fruit check at the WA/SA border.

The bight in overcast conditions.
