I saw these 2 books in Dymocks yesterday and thought they would be great for recipes to convert to Thermomix....does anyone have them?

Yes - both great for the TMX - they are Murdoch books.  My friend Jane Lawson - yoshoku, Spice Market (Prize for one of the cpompetitions on here), Neuvo cocina, and now Snowflakes and schnapps (recipes on here in various forms) - works for them.  You will find some recipes on here from Steam It.  Also, riv_mum did something from Steam It too.

The sugar cane prawns and stuffed mushrooms were inpired by Steam It.

Well done Baf65. I keep looking for steam books and haven't had much success. Will check for these. I'm getting braver using the varoma though.

Me too Cookie1 - don't know why we were so scared of it to begin with.  I steam all my vegies these days and most chicken dishes I do are also steamed.  Will get around to doing some things from the Full Steam Ahead book too one of these days but I have recipes coming out of my ears nowadays and one can only eat so many meals a week.

Hi all, I also used the varoma for the first time last night.  Cooked cannelloni in top with the tomato sauce underneath.  Very nice.  Cannelloni came out lovely and soft.  They were filled with chicken and ricotta cheese.  Just wondered if you can use both sections of the varoma at the same time to steam or do you just use the top larger section.  Going to steam vegies in future.   Such a versitile machine eh?
