My buttons are broken HELP!!!
« on: September 10, 2013, 01:08:26 pm »
Help me!!

My Veroma and 100 degree buttons only are not working n my machine?!
I recently moved and its like they have been pushed in too far or something.
Everything else is perfect but they just don't click.
It's out of warranty n I bought it off a gf so I don't have a contact yet with thermomix.

Has anyone else had this issue before? Can someone at thermomix repair it?

Any advice would be appreciated

I'm sure it can be fixed. Let us know how you go.

Hello Bronwyn How did you go with your buttons, I am mid way through an apple and chilli jelly and the varoma button is not clicking in, and the rubber is staying pushed in.  Of course it happens on a Sunday!!
Thanks Janet

Thank goodness.  With Christmas coming up we really need our machines. I would be lost without mine. So many things would change, no fudge or home made pastry as I couldn't be bothered in the heat. No bread! That would be ghastly.

I just had a panic this morning myself when I couldn't budge the lid! It seemed jammed on. ??? I carry it to & from our apartment & our bush house & thought it had been knocked in the car(inside its case). My clever hubbie looked at it for me & after some careful easing of the lid from the right side location switch, we realised that it had not been completely turned off & the location switch had locked the jug in place! Scary as,like all of us, I am in a Chrissy cooking fest. After I relaxed & got back into cooking I though it was an interesting discovery & might be useful info for someone else who got into this situation.

It's something to look out for as the dial looked as if it was on zero but wasn't quite! Dont know how I'd got the lid on but my hubbie was able to too when the dial was in the wrong position & before we discovered the problem.

Anyone else had this experience?
