Secret Santa 2013
« on: October 01, 2013, 07:50:32 am »
We will be running Secret Santa again this year. Amy is unable to do it this year but she says hi to everyone. Our rules this year will be much the same.

Everyone who wishes to be involved MUST pm me their full name and address. Not your forum name. I will put a list of participants on the forum as I receive them.

By joining in SS you are committing yourself to sending someone a gift.

You must acknowledge receipt  of your gift on the forum so that your SS (and the moderators) know it has been received.

The cut off date for entries is 16th October, 2013.

You must have 100 posts as of 1st October, 2013 to join in.

Participants will need to purchase a gift for their SS to the value of approximately $20. Remember postage will be additional to this.

Gifts must be posted no later than 5th December, 2013 for those in Australia and much earlier if overseas.

Participants that don't reply to 3 pm's or emails from moderators concerning SS will be deleted from the list.

Please indicate to me via pm if you DO NOT want an overseas SS.

May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Thanks, Cookie, I was wondering if this would go ahead this year and am delighted that you have taken it on.  Very much looking forward to enjoying and taking part in the fun at Christmas time.

Is anyone able to give an update on Amy?  I understand if its personal and you cannot but I often wonder where she has disappeared to and hope all is going well for her.

Hi cookie, can I clarify about the $ limit please?
Is that a maximum or minimum amount and what about hand made items as there are many talented forum members on here.
Thanks very much
Cheers DJ.

PS hi Amy lovely to see ya, even for a minute!

Thanks DJ. I guess the $20 was a guide really. Some people like to go above or below this amount, especially if they find the 'perfect' gift.
Hand made gifts are priceless so I think anyone that receives these is especially honoured. We all know the love, care and skill that goes into these.
I remember last year finding out who my SS was and scouring their posts to find the 'perfect' gift.
I hope this clarifies it for you. If not ask more questions.  ;) :)
