« on: October 19, 2013, 01:22:27 pm »
Hi, I'm a newby thermomix owner and havent had my demo yet. But I'm itching to make something  :)
Do I need to wait for TM to reach the temperature befiore I start cooking? Thanks

No, Charly. If a recipe states cook for x time at x temp then the recipe time already factors in the time it takes for the bowl to reach temperature.

Hi charly, welcome to the forum.  I sometimes heat the bowl for a couple of minutes on varoma, with some oil in it, especially if I want to stir fry something but that's when I convert my own recipes.  Other than that I just follow what a recipe says.

Thanks everyone! Really appreciate your replies!
I'm loving my new toy! Have made 2 purées for my baby and cheese puffs are busy baking now!

Ironic that the tm is meant to mean less time in the kitchen, but it seems I'm spending more time in the kitchen because I just want to make things! I can't believe how easy it is!!!! ;)

Thanks for asking this question Charly, as I needed the answer too. And thanks to those that answered. Just 2 min's now until Honey Mustard Chicken.  :)

That's a great recipe Chad.I've made it with pork fillet and it's equally good. :)
