Which books to buy???

Morning all,

I've got $100 to spend on some new books for my TM and I'm not 100% sure on which ones to get exactly. At the moment, I've only got my (misprinted) EDC and 90% of what I make is now coming from these forums.

I've read some of the reviews online and here is what I was thinking of getting so far:

- Fast and easy Indian cooking
- Healthy eating with Cyndi O’Meara
- Cooking for your baby & toddler
- Rawlicious
- Lunchbox and after school ideas
- Cooking on a budget

Do you think these are a good mix? What would you get if you had $100 to spend?

I'm not 100% sure about the baby & toddler book as my little miss is 13 months and pretty much eats whatever we're eating (unless it's mega spicy etc).

The Budget Busters one is great value
My favourite at the moment is Alyce Alexanders quick fix every occasion, however then you'll have postage.
If you prefer the TMX books through your consultant you shouldn't have to pay for postage

I have just purchased Alyces quick fix for every occasion. Its my favourite at the moment.

Jamberie - I love to cook most foods. My hubby is a bit over risotto's and casserole's (he's not a fan of the TM). I guess I'd like some books which will give us options other than the above - I'd love for my hubby to embrace the TM love.

Do you find the recipes in the baby & toddler book to be tasty enough to use for family meals and not just baby? It would be good to be able to cook just one meal, especially on the days that I'm working.

Halex / Arcadia - I've only started hearing about Alyce & her books. Don't know too much about her or her recipes. Must check the forum as I'm sure there will be a review of her book or at least a contents page. Do you both prefer her books over the TM ones?

I'm a consultant and the Baby and Toddler book by Louise Fulton Keats is currently the most popular book I sell.  The Indian one used to be the most popular before that B and T came along.  There are some fantastic recipes in those other little booklets you've chosen.  Enjoy!

Lou LouB, I think the baby & toddler book is the best book HO have released and recipes can be used for adults, just add some spices and seasoning.  Alyce's books and Tenina's are great and having pictures always makes for a more popular book. There are index lists for all books on the forum and lists of reviews of recipes under every book released whether it be from HO or by individuals.  So much to choose from, spend your money wisely and take some time to check out reviews.

LouLouB I would buy The Festive Book. I think it about $16. If you like Indian at all get that too. Otherwise read the recipe reviews as Judy has said and go with what you like.
I think I read somewhere that the UK Chocolate book will soon be available here too.

Jamberie - is the budget busters one you mentioned the same as the cooking on a budget book I've listed or is it different? I can't find a budget busters on the TM website but have seen mentions of it online?

I think it is the reprinted version (Budget Busters being the older version). I'm on tapatalk now and can't post a link to the contents, but if you go to the recipe book reviews section and search for "budget busters" you'll see the list of recipes.

I cant go past Alyce or Tenina. I also just bought quick fix for every occation, a lovely book.
