Jamie's 15 Minute Meals

Another absolute winner

Mustard Lamb page 112

The lamb fillit was $55 a kilo so I had had the gal butcher cut the top side from leg and used it. About $11.

Cooked the leeks and mash in the Thermomix. I never peel my potatoes that I why they look a bit dark.

No celery hearts  so used witloff

The sauce is so simple and delicious.

Will make this again.

Put the leeks in the thermoserver while cooking mash then put the lamb in the thermoserver while making the sauce.

Now that's just how I like my lamb cooked Gert, deliciously pink.  It sounds like a nice recipe.  I don't think I've even seen that book unless I borrowed Katie's and have forgotten about it!

How many recipes do you intend making from that book?

Gert thank you for trying these recipes.
I made the Caesar Salad one with a couple of variations for dinner last night. We loved it. So fresh and tasty.

I should have put it on a larger plate instead of piling it up. But it doesn't really matter.

Gert & Cookie - thanks very much for the reviews!!  I've had the book for a little while now (hangs head in shame) but it found its way onto the shelf and there it stayed - putting it by the bed tonight to start a good read of it - and to mark those you've recommended!!   :-* :-* :-*

I am not really a cookbook buyer, except for Tenina's but I felt I needed some inspiration as If  I  asked DH's what he wanted it would be sausages every bloody day. This happens when you have been married 48 years .

Also I am not one to follow recipes too closely but  with Jaime's simple recipes there is really no choice as the ingredients are something you have In the pantry or fridge in any case. No wanker  Delicious Mag  stuff with asterisks.

The two that  I have followed have lots of flavour and lend themselves to the Thermomix easily. Seems all recipes feed four easily and easy to up or down.

Thanks for the great reviews Gert. I'm not much of a cookbook buyer but I might get this one.

$55 for lamb fillets - who pays that much? I complain when the are $25.

Are you using the TMX for any parts of these recipes Gert.  You're cooking up a storm up there lately.
