Katie is right - I put a baking dish of hot water on the bottom shelf of the oven, and placed the tin with the mixture into the hot water.  That is how I read the recipe …….. Maybe the water was supposed to be on the bottom of the oven, and the cake mixture on the shelf above it??

Judy came over for coffee and a chat this afternoon and we had some of this.

It had firmed up well in the fridge and was actually a lot better today, nowhere near as sticky and gooey as it was on Xmas Eve.

Yes it was lovely, the cake part was light and it certainly had firmed up in 24 hours.

Made this today. I found it very easy & method quite clear. Texture/cooking time reasonably spot on. Though taste not quite right for us (maybe b/c we also had Tenina's super yummy all purpose ice-cream with it, which certainly out shone the brownie). For me I could taste in the background the balsamic vinegar, DH couldn't taste vinegar - but did say it's not his favourite brownie.
