Hi Thermiefun, sorry never heard of that before.  Have you tried googling what you are looking for?

Try some. Kimchi dead easy in the Thermomix. It is a start.

Quirky cooking has Done some fermenting.  So does Raw living. There are a lot of bloggers out there who do a lot of fermenting in the Thermomix. I could tell you but it would be quicker and easier if you just google it.

Fermenting is big in the Thermomix raw food community especially in the Tablelands of Far North Queensland. It is all about getting as close to nature as possible and eating as our ancestors did. There are a lot of foods easily fermented and using the Thermomix to chop and mix makes it quick and easy.

We have all eaten fermented foods at one time or another I'm sure.  Sour dough is one example, then there is beer and wine and sour kraut, yogurt, sour cream, cucumbers, beets and of course spirits and sparkling wines .  Dead easy to ferment veggies and they are good for you. I think Cyndi  O'Meara has a few Thermomix recipes.

And yeah judy I have bee around a long time. Long enough to help my grandmother chop cabbage to put In the crock to put down the cellar to ferment.

I've been looking at fermented foods too. So far, have only done sauerkraut. I'm very keen to try kombucha, but have to get hold of a SCOBY from somewhere.
Not keen on milk kefir, but apparently water kefir is nice.
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Made some milk Kefir cheese and mixed it with Capsicum  jam,  ( recipe from Forum) , lovely as a spread.  I keep my Kefir in the fridge and it still does it's thing,  but more slowly.
I have posted a recipe for Kefir ice cream, lovely.
I think Sour Dough is fermented .

I have spare scoby but don't think I can post it.  I make smoothies with my milk kefer, using fresh/frozen fruits.
