Hi from England
« on: December 22, 2013, 06:03:31 pm »
I have just been bought a Thermomix off my wife for Christmas , after working with James Martin and him recommending one we had a demo at work and I loved it.
I have talked non stop about it since to the wife and she has only gone and bought me one.

Novice so any hints and guidance highly appreciated  :)

Have a great Christmas all and hopefully ill be around a lot.

Well how lucky are you Bickleo, now your wife will be waiting for all the goodies you are going to produce in this wonderful machine.
This list of Cream Puff's favourite recipes is a great place to start, tried and true recipes with reviews.  You'll not go wrong if you pick a few recipes from there to start off with.
We also have lists of reviews from all the TMX books available including your UK Fast & Easy Cooking.  It pays to check these lists before making recipes from the books just to check that the recipes don't need tweaking.

Enjoy your Thermomix cooking and please don't hesitate to ask any questions - we have the lovely Cornish Cream on your side of the world who will probably come to your rescue first whilst the rest of us in the southern hemisphere are sleeping.

Welcome and what a lucky person you are. As you look through the forum you will see how much we love our machines. They are especially useful at this it e of the year. It is so easy to whip something up on the spur of the moment and there are very few dishes to wash.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

Welcome to the forum Bickleo.  How lucky are you to have been working with James Martin, so no wonder you wanted one for yourself.  You will sure be able to teach us a thing or two.  I look forward to hearing about your journey and the recipes you will come up with.

Wow you are double lucky, fantastic wife and working with James Martin! You will find lots of support and a fantastic Thermomix community all around the world, there's not as many of us in the UK as there is in other countries but the number is growing all the time!
