Now there's a co-incidence cookie1 - I've just posted a recipe for Mushroom Ketchup (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=14759.0) in the condiments and sauces section!! Should be a great way to use up lots of those mushrooms.

Alternatively, dehydrate them and then blitz them to a powder with salt to create a magic seasoning.

I plan to make your mushroom ketchup. Thanks. I have dried some but I never thought to blitz them.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I saw Donna Hay do that once Cookie, she did it with dried porcini mushrooms and salt and sprinkled it over a piece of steak before cooking it.  I've always been meaning to do it but haven't got around to it.

Suzanne I didn't have any porcini mushrooms so I left them out. The taste is still lovely.

One and a bit boxes left Hally. I will do some more marinated mushrooms today and do the ketchup.
