Error 24
« on: January 24, 2014, 02:28:51 am »
Hi all. I have just moved to the USA (for the second time, it's a long story :)  )  from Australia and bought my Thermomix with me.  We bought the appropriate transformer and have just plugged it in but keep getting an error 24.  The manual states that can be fixed by turning the speed selector from open lid to closed and back but that doesn't help.  I am desperate to get my thermie up and running again, it's been 6 months!  Can anyone help?

I'm just wondering how long ago you unpacked it Cadge.  Maybe it needs time to settle down after travelling.  Other than that, I'm sorry as I have no idea what else it could be.  Good luck with it though, I can imagine you are really wanting to get it up and running again.  Thanks for joining us and welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the forum Cadge. What a horrible shock with the thermomix. The only thing I can suggest is to email Head Office here in Perth, Western Australia and ask their advice. It is a public holiday here Monday for Australia Day so you probably wouldn't receive an answer then.
Here is the link to contacting them. Good luck.

Thanks you both for the welcome and replies.  I did email my consultant who emailed the service guy who told me the error 24 meant not enough power to the machine.  Hubby couldn't understand as he knew we had the correct transformer.  Upon rechecking I noticed the voltage setting was on the wrong setting!  Poor guy felt a bit silly as he's an engineer!  :).  So problem solved, am up and running and made several things already, just love my Thermie!

Glad to hear that Cadge, it would have had you worried.

Hiya Cadge.

I have just moved from Oz to Canada and have the same problem with my TM.  What sort of transformer are you using??
