Butterfly alternative
« on: February 15, 2014, 08:59:05 pm »
Hi there,

I have only had my TMX for 1 week and am interstate visiting the inlaws and forgot the butterfly attachment!! Was hoping to try all these things but alot say insert butterfly attachment. Can you subsitute the butterfly with the normal blades? Hoping to cook things like risotto, butter chicken etc.

Any advice would be great!

TIA, Kirsten

i think the risotto might stick/catch on  ^^ and definitely  :-:

i still find speed 1 better - it keeps things moving so they are less likely to catch ;)

Hello whisks. Nice to hear from you again. I agree re the risotto. I sometimes cook mine at an even higher speed if it seems to be catching at all or not turning easily enough.

hi cookie :)
it has been a long time, hasn't it?

yes, speed 1 or 2, but speed 1 should do it. i hardly ever use soft stir - it's kinda jerky and each pause is an opportunity to catch ;)
