Hi I'm Amy
« on: February 18, 2014, 12:35:29 pm »
Hi all,

I'm in Tasmania and I have had my TM for over 20 months now. At the very convenient stage where converting old recipes from my huge recipe book collection is getting easier.

I am gluten intolerant and about to get braces ( bands are on already) so I am into soft, nourishing, gluten free  food that covers all the good groups.  I love beans and legumes as well as meat and can have dairy but like having a go at alternatives just for the fun of it.

Hi Amy, welcome to the forum.  It's great to be able to convert our favourite recipes and the more we do the better we get at it.  Thanks for joining us.

Hi Amy, perfect machine for your situation. My Amy always had mashed potatoes after her braces were tightened, easy and delicious with Thermy. Hers were before Thermy came to stay. You will have endless choices. Enjoy

Welcome Amy. Having had your thermomix for a while it will definitely come in handy with the braces. Lots of lovely thick soups puréed up. When it gets a bit cooler that is. What part of Tassy are you from ?

Hi Amy and welcome. I've had my braces on for 18 months now and the tmx is great for making things soft. You'll find your teeth are sore at the start, but ok after that. Sometimes sore after a tighten up. Soups are great during this time, as are purees and mash. I also find that recipes that cook the meat and veggie in a sauce, like honey soy chicken, honey mustard chicken and risotto easy to eat with sore teeth too. Just stay away from pork crackle and you'll be fine!
