Eat Your Books
« on: March 14, 2014, 01:48:33 pm »
I was wondering how many people were still using this a few months on? Are you finding it helpful to access ingredients/recipes from your cookbooks? Worth it or not?

LOL that was my reaction too.  I thought "wow, I know these thermomix types are creative cooks, but this is going TOO FAR"

CP,  yes I still use it and find that the new suggestions that they send weekly from books and blogs great.  I have been a bit slack in cataloguing my new books.  Will do so when it is too cold to go out side.  Well worth the $25.

Yes cream puff, I use it everyday. Yesterday I went on & ended up making some koftas from the Jerusalem book, plus they have some great recipes on line :)

Well worth the annual fee :)

Same with new books too chookie :)

I still use it and add any new books as I get them.  I have been registered for just over a year.
I agree that it is well worth $25 a year.
I find it especially useful for going back to find recipes that I know I have seen in my books but really can't remember where. Also really useful when you buy an ingredient without anything particular in mind to cook with it.

I did the free registration using the code a kind person gave us. I entered a lot of my books then, but not all. I will be honest and say I have hardly used it. I do receive their emails and tweets. I'm not sure if I would use it. I tend to menu plan with books around me. But on the other hand I can spend hours looking for a specific recipe.

What I like is to type in for example lamb mince & all the recipes come up that use lamb mince or if I have a few things that need to be eaten I will type them in & then choose what to make.

I'm still using it and agree it's worth the money.
So easy to find a recipe to match the ingredients you already have.

I keep seeing interesting cookbooks I would like to buy on their Facebook page and emails, so it can be a bit dangerous.

Love it! So helpful and saves lots of time. I index books for them - quite painstaking but is of benefit to me and others who own the book

They have Tenina and Alyces books but not official thermomix ones.
