I found a bag of peeled bananas in the freezer yesterday, so Miss5 started her holidays by making 36 banana muffins and 2 loaves of banana bread.

Great cooking missy.
I've lived out of my freezer all week, it's given me time to do so many other jobs.

Isn't it amazing what you can find in the freezer?

Nice baking by your DD, Astarra.
I've just added to my freezer
As DH is away, I've peeled, par boiled and frozen 3kg of potatoes so they didn't go to waste.

Mine is the same Hally.
I managed to run most of the food down, defrosted the freezer, and now have refilled
Now I have to use what I've got and resist the temptation to buy more

I had a birthday lunch for my sister today. Nearly everything came out of the freezer. Can't see much space yet. I will keep at it though. Trouble is we will be eating leftovers for a couple of days.
Hally and Michele , you are inspirational. Gert, I would like to shop for food as needed. Too far from the shops to do that. Or so I tell myself. I do like to cook what ever takes my fancy and I need a full pantry and freezer to do that.

That's what I tell myself Chookie...I did take a photo of my pantry but am too embarrassed to share it! 😮 but it is about 1.5x2m and 1m deep. There is no room for any more food...I must use what I have! Thank you for the inspiration everyone

I found some cabbage in the back of the fridge and some roast pork slices at the bottom of the freezer
I started make my dish that I would normally do with the cabbage ½ hour b4 dinner I added the pork. It didn't look very nice
Frank kept saying how nice it was and that the kids are missing out
So pork and cabbage must go together, I don’t eat pork so I wouldn't know

Astarra, it's lovely that your young DD is able to cook, even with help it is to be encouraged
I too have been eating out of freezer to make room for Christmas things.

I'm eating from the freezer because I'm too lazy to cook at the moment Katj.
