Dulse Leaves
« on: April 25, 2014, 03:46:53 am »
Hi, was thinking about make the umami paste and made enquiries at The Blue Ginger in Margaret River as to whether they stocked Dulse Flakes. They said they had Dulse Leaves. My question is, and this may sound silly, but would this be the same as the flakes if I just gave them a quick blitz in my thermie.

Hi Augusta - it's the same thing so blitzing it in the Thermie will turn leaves to flakes. It isn't always easy to find dulse so I've replace it with Nori on some occasions and can't see much of a difference in taste!

Thanks Bonsai. I will remember that if I need it too.

I have used nori.  Spoke to Tenina about this. She said ok. Just chop it up before zapping in TMX.
