astarra, your kids will be gone in the blink of an eye. I know that's hard to believe right now but before you know it, you'll be saying "where did the past 20 years go?" Trust me. I'm sure some of you older mums are hearin' me.  ;)

Now I have no babies any more and really should have no excuse for being as disorganised as I am. I'm worse with 2 youngin's left than I ever was with 7 (5 hungry teenagers).

I know if I organise my meal plans and a few other things, I will have a lot more time for myself and my family. I just need some motivation and a kick in the .........  well, you know.  :-))

I'll follow this thread and also attempt a meal plan for the next week.

I guess we do to a certain extent, each weekend we try and figure out what we are going to have each night and for lunches and then buy accordingly. It's still a bit hit and miss though and don't go through what we have in the freezer to use up. We made a list of freezer contents on the weekdn and going to try and make meals around that. I also want to start keeping an  eye on what we buy at the supermarket but unfortunately DH does a lot of our cooking and shopping and he doesn't look at prices or plan.

ok, so do your kids eat what you eat, or are you making three meals at night.. (  I am sometimes crazy for doing this )
My kids are nearly 8 and 9.

sometimes I have a extra kid.

Our kids eat what we eat, only time we have different foods is breakfast times as neither DH or I like porridge or weetbix, but they love them, and also we have ours at a different time to them.  :)

I meal plan every week, I just have a sticky note on my desk top with the days of the week and what we'll be having each night :D

It really helps with making sure I cover all our nutritional needs ;)

I meal plan with Cookies planner (Cookie emailed it to me).

If the freezer is looking full, I use the meals out of there.

Obbie you could get your kids to pick a meal each week that they want and then they eat what you pick for the rest of the week or no cakes  :D :D
