Still nothing on thermomix.com.au about it yet tho  ???

Bit disappointed in the recipe chip, I would be nearly lusting over one if I could put my usbs into it and use all my saved recipes, but sadly it doesn't look like it can be done!  :( Actually, it probably is just as well,  ;D  8)

You know I like the look of it; nice, smooth and modern looking and my DH asked me this morning if I'd like one  :o

I'm going to hold off on that though, as for me there aren't enough changes that make me want to fork out another $2000 to upgrade.
A 200ml bigger bowl is neither here nor there and the one thing that would have got me really interested - the temperature isn't very much different either.

My dtr hopes to buy her first machine towards the end of the year, so if that happens I will get a hands on look at it, but for now I will watch and read peoples reviews to see if my mind changes.  :)

I like the look of a larger varoma.  I wonder if it would fit the old machine.

Yay. Finally some info. I wish the temperature could go higher though but I guess most customers wouldn't use it.

Not sure it will tempt that many previous customers to upgrade but it's probably a good upgrade for anyone buying considering the price difference is only $50 more.

Funny how the UK TMX site and Helene's blog released the information before HO Australia.

I thought the same thing. Wasn't it going to be announced in Australia first?

My information was that it was going to be a worldwide release all coinciding together.  ??? ???

Well there you go!
I know this may seem trivial, but how could They not improve the scales??  For someone who bakes a lot, .5g increments is really not good enough...you really shouldn't have to use your bench top digital scales for accuracy,  when you have a machine of this value!
Recipe chip & touch screen...meh...I'll stick to simplicity :-)

On Helene's website (link posted back on this thread a bit) it says this about the scales.

'The scales will weigh 5 gram increments from 0 to 3 kg and negative weight will also register.'
