It would be nice Gert but difficult for the whole recipe I would think - you never know though, someone might come up with a totally TMX recipe.

I think as long as something is done in the thermomix. As you say CP onion chopped in the thermomix. I could go to Fremantle but I think I would have trouble convincing DD to eat it and DH would say "where is all the bloody thing".
Perhaps I will simply enter into the spirit of the fun by simply using a small chook. Just for lots of fun.

Looks like fun, ladies 😄

My grandpa used to keep quails for their eggs. He would sell the eggs to lok lok shops owners. They serve bite-sized food strung on bamboo sticks. Customers order their food and dunk the sticks into hot broth to cook. Then they dip the food into chilli sauce.

I didn't mind collecting the eggs. But cleaning their little food and drink bowls were another story. Yuck! 😁

Enjoy your challenge. Looking forward to the photos 😄

I love quail eggs. I wish. I could get my hands on some.

I have my quails all in a row ready to go. Marathon Quail cooking and eating. After that I may never eat quail again.

Katie is going to see if she can find some quails for me when she does her shopping tomorrow.  I've done some research and it's not hard at all to find recipes in my books or online so I am going to give it a go if Katie is successful.  No pressure Katie, if I can I will but it's not the end of the world if you're unsuccessful.

There are thousands on line but a good place to start is Maggie Beer as she used duck and quail in many of her recipes.

Google the cuisine followed by quail such as Thai Quail or Chinese Quail.

They are quite easy and quick to cook so you may learn something on Sat!

Yes, I've dug out my Maggie Beer cookbook for guidance and think I will butterfly them, marinade them in a honey/soy/ginger mix and BBQ them on Sunday night.
Judy, my quails are from Gawler River butchers and DH bought them from the central Market. He had choice from a couple of stalls including Angelakis.

Katie usually goes to Gawler River butchers near where she lives Sue so hopefully they will have them.  It's a bit pot luck there though.

That's where I'm going to try first, as I always go there Friday.

If I get some I'm going to tell DH thats what we are having for dinner. He has a thing about bones and won't eat any meat if the bone is still in. He will freak out at the thought of the quail!

Poor man Katie.

It would be lovely if you joined in Arcadia. I've been looking for a small chook, that is free range. Hoping I can find one.
