Thanks kyton, I should have thrown my first butter sauce attempt out and tried a fresh batch but I just wanted to taste the ravioli.

It's nice to find something different Cookie, my next beetroot dish will be a forum recipe but no-one seems to have tried it yet ;)

Thanks for your recipe, Judy.  I've just started using wonton wrappers for a couple of things, but never thought to steam them  :-[ :-[, that opens up a whole new world of ideas!

I know that this is common, it is now obvious to me that I just needed something to click in that vacuum in my head for me to realise that I could do that too!

Made this last night - Chocolate & Beetroot Cream recipe posted way back in 2009 by one of our ex-moderators Thermomixer.  No-one seems to have tried it and I've had my eye on it for years  :-))

I used the 140g cooked beetroot I had over from my previous recipe here for the challenge so was able to do 1/3 of this recipe just for myself.  Because Thermomixer used raw beetroot I just blitzed the cooked beetroot, added the orange juice and heated it until it reached 90o then followed the recipe from there. It firmed up slightly overnight in the fridge and is delicious.

Judy, this is one of the wonderful outcomes of a challenge like this.  There are so many gems hidden in the forum - and TMXer's contributions are among some of the best!  Thanks for bumping it up!! :-*

Real pest being away and not cooking.  Would like to enjoy this ?  I have posted 3 recipes for mushrooms over recent years.  One is crumbed mushrooms in Parmesan with a garlic mayo. Borrowed from Rodney Dunn.  Another that I think  that Michele and  DH enjoyed. Another Asian method soaked  in soy sauce and ginger which we often have at Xmas.  I will find them and post.

Judy you are indeed busy with this challenge. I am shopping tomorrow.
