Similar result to the Vienna loaf rising method in the oven with a dish of boiling water Denise. Probably looks more impressive done in TMX accessories though.

I saw this as well, handy tip for winter / colder climates. Certainly would give me more control that I have on my oven.

Brilliant. I use the hot water in the oven in this freezing weather, but I love that idea. Bakers' Delight use a steam oven to cook their bread so steam must be good.

Great idea using the thermoserver like that; I like the dish of hot water in the oven method but when making the sour dough which takes a long time I cover the container with glad wrap and put it under a blanket on the bed and a couple of wheat packs on top of the blanket and then make sure DH doesn't go back to bed. Works a treat; the bread rising that is.

Great idea, especially because I'm about to start making bread regularly and have always wondered how to go about it in sometimes-rainy Melbourne without putting the heater on, LOL!

Steam and warmth. Love it. There are so many ways to prove bread. Why not just on top of bowl? Remember, better Flavour from longer proving.
