Another way to store recipes

The other day Tenina mentioned an app for storing recipes. I decided I would check it out. It is called hipcook and is $2.49. I bought it and then because of my ability on the iPad I had problems. I emailed them and had a reply back very quickly. My drama was all my fault and now I can use it.
I will be honest and say I haven't really had an intense look at it, but so far so good.
As you know I also use Snap Recipes.
I plan to have an in depth look tonight so I will report back. Hipcook has now joined us on the forum. Welcome.

Just thought I had better mention that I don't know hipcook and in no way benefit from her app.

I downloaded Snap recipes also, but it seems to have chewed up a lot of my storage space.  I'm going thru trying to find where all my storage space has gone because I'll be blowed if I'm going to buy more

I understand that only too well CP. I refuse to buy more too. My next iPad will have the biggest storage I can buy.

I would also like a recipe storage app so will watch how you go with hipcook cookie1.
I have struggled and given up with Evernote.
I am also using ipad which I don't like at all!
Give me a laptop any day windows is much better and more flexible.

Will also be interested in this , according to my ipad what I have on Snap recipes takes up 26.8 MB which is not too bad at the moment. But I have noticed that another one I have "Baking with Dorie" is taking up 2.2 GB so I will have another look at that and maybe delete it.   I will certainly get a larger storage next time too.

I just bought folders from Target to print recipes, and file them.  quite cheap, but so handy.

Actually obbie thats what I do when using my laptop. But that is being used to do exams etc.
I am using the cast off obsolete school iPad so printing is difficult.

I have just started using Pepperpot.  It is very simple - it has to be for me to use it!  I wonder how these more recent apps compare to those we have discussed in the past?

True Marina. I have tried a couple and just couldn't use them. I think we need to find so etching that suits us. I had a look at hipcook last night, not enough to say anything detailed yet. It won't be tonight either as we have a meeting. Hopefully Monday.

This app is no where as easy to use as Snap Recipes. However I plan to persevere. With help from the developer I have found that if you add things using photos you must have excellent light etc otherwise the photo comes out as gobbledygook..  I am in the process of going through 1,000,001 cooking magazines looking at the recipes I have marked. I don't want them on Snap Recipes as I'd like to keep them apart until I try them. My cupboard shelves are bending as they can't cope.

I just save the recipe and convert it into my template on Word and save them in categories on the laptop. Print the one I want to use and keep it in a folder; different colour for each category; works for me.

I am going to follow Pepperpot up. I need easy to use as I'm not very computer savy. Thanks Cuilidh.

Good ideas troupie. I think my problems are with the limitations of the iPad.
The laptop is much more versatile.
I will get my laptop back after exams!
