We had the honour of having Sue to tea yesterday.
It was such fun, and funny to think she grew up all around here and then moved to Australia 24 years ago.

We had lots of chats and eclairs (sadly not home made) and she very kindly brought me Quirky Jo's book, which I'd really really wanted so that made the visit even more exciting. I was reading it in bed last night.

The friendship and generosity on this forum is really very special.

Thanks Sue so much and I hope we meet again in due course.

How lovely.

The pleasure was all mine!
DJ and her husband are lovely people who made me feel so welcome. I was also given a gift, a beautiful book of recipes made using local ingredients. The photography in there is just stunning, and it means such a lot to me as it is a reminder of where I grew up. Plus, a home grown marrow (like a huge zucchini), which I am looking forward to roasting. I haven't had marrow for years!

DJ's home and garden are truly stunning, there has been such care and attention to detail, and their future B&B guests will be very lucky indeed.

Someone from the Forum just needs to win the lotto, so we can all have a Forumfest at DJ's, incorporating a working bee to finish off whatever needs to be done, and then another in Bali at Uni's villa!  :D

Uni, that's looking lovely.  You must feel pleased.

Thank you Sue, and a brilliant idea, however since they put up the lottery from £1 to £2, I hardly ever buy a ticket, and I have to go a fair way to buy one too!

Good luck every one,
DJ x

Hi everyone, internet for the last 3 weeks has been really slow and I've only been posting to Facebook cos its so easy to upload photo's. Currently in Prague and its beautiful. We have a really lovely hotel and we got upgraded and my goodness, 5 star is wonderful. I can understand why famous people get called "divas" because its very easy to get used to the finer things in life very quickly. We are just a hop skip and a jump from all the designer shops and I think I would starve myself (of food only) to fit into their beautiful clothes. Going home on Sunday. Looking forward to seeing my two little puppies and puddy cat. (Wish I could upload some pics but my outgoing server from my iPad where all my pics are stored is not connected and its a long process otherwise. Maybe I should get a personal gmail account for future as I may be able to work around that)

OMG haven't cooked anything for a month! I'm out of touch  :-*

It sounds wonderful CP. it would be very easy to get used to being spoiled in 5 star accommodation.
Travel home safely.
