Uni, your place is looking and sounding fantastic.

I'm not a fan of creepy crawlys although I think the geckos are cute. On my last morning at Eden I was talking to a lady already sitting down to breakfast and pulled my chair out to sit down and fortunately I must have notice something amiss on the chair just as I was about to sit on it and there was quite a large snake curled up in the sun. Apparently I didn't scream but just called out "snake" and stood very still, eventually everyone was alerted and it caused quite a commotion. My heart rate certainly spiked and I couldn't stop shaking for a while. The snake was very unhappy that I had almost sat on him and was apparently a mildly venomous one so very glad I didn't sit all the way down.

Cookie, your photos look lovely, the sky is so blue.

KimmyH, I would highly recommend Eden and apparently they regularly run specials on Groupon.

I do not think I would like to sit on that one.

Yikes, a near miss Wonder.  I don't know what I would have done but I guess it would have frightened the snake as much as it had frightened me  :-))

Wonder you are amazing, you managed a photo. I would still be running.  Even looking at the photo made my skin creep.

My photo actually didn't work at all because my hand was shaking too much, but one of the other guests was kind enough to send this to me. I think I went into a bit of shock when it happened, I thought I had screamed quite loudly but those that were near me said I was very calm.

I'm not a fan of any snakes but can get rid of the friendly ones. DH (at his own admission) is a big girl when it comes to snakes as there aren't any in NZ.
I'm the snake girl in this family as we live in the bush -  just grad them behind the head (if they are of the friendly variety) otherwise call wires.

It's a beautiful day here at Monkey Mia. A little breezy for our small boat which means I can sit and read, walk and enjoy the surroundings.  Then in the  evenings enjoy the sunset with  bubbles.   Oops, some how the last 2 photos are upside down. They do fix themselves if you tap on them.
