Looks lovely Jen.  Like the litle elephant.

Back from Forster yesterday. Had a great long weekend.
Will post some photos of Ellenborough Falls when DH gets them off his phone.
Would really like to retire to Forster.

It was lovely thankyou Denise.

DH and I actually took it a step further this time and viewed some properties for sale  :o
We thought maybe we would purchase something with retirement in mind and rent it out for now.
Didn't find anything this weekend but will certainly be keeping an eye out. :)

Forster looks to be a beautiful spot.  Good luck with your home hunting.

Oh, I think it's just the best, only an hour and three quaters from Newcastle. Easy if we need a major hospital.
A bit touristy. Will see. We are heading to Rockhampton at Easter. Sure I will want to retire there too.  ;D

The family factor is very strong. I'd hate to be away from family permanently.

Yes that is something to consider. The 3 stepdaughters all live on the lake or in Newcastle. My DD lives on the central coast and my sone son in Sydney. So it would be a nice not too far drive for them. Rockhampton might be a different story. Also I have my very fit 80yr old mum to consider. She moved from Sydney to be close to me so I don't think I could move anytime soon.

Went on the free bus tour of Armidale. It was fantastic. Our tour guide was 80 year old Pearl and today was her last day. She was born in Guyra, married and lived on a sheep station for 40 years was involved in the Little Boy Lost rescue and he later worked for them as a shearer.
We visited the art gallery, railway station and university. It was meant to be a 2.5 hour tour and we went for 3 hours.
Photos of the White's home that was the start of the university and the railway station.
