Mich how sensible of the council to have free tours. Pearl sounds like a real treasure. ( no pun intended) she would have so much personal information to share.

Cookie, you would have loved her. When we stopped at the old teachers college she read out the antiquated teachers rules. Things like male teachers will have 1 night off a week for the purpose of courting, instant dismissal for smoking of cigarettes, use of spirits, frequenting pool or public dance halls. Skirts slit to expose ankles. In some ways these rules would set a good example for students.
Her family or her inlaws had a lot do with so much about Armidale.
Now they will have to rely on the 90 year old tour guide.

Thanks CC.
I'm sure all our teacher members would love Armidale. It's a place of education.
Apparently the locals separate the district calling it the town and gown :D
So many beautiful churches too.

I have 2 nieces who went to Uni in Armidale. They lived in Brisbane at the time.

A few photos of the gorges from yesterday. The photos don't do it justice and my photography is all a bit ordinary.

Lovely photos McMich, they remind me of our visit to that area.
